The lodge has six economy rooms, each with a queen and a single bed, located in the inner patio of the hotel. These rooms do not provide a view and are limited to triple occupancy. In addition, there are 16 junior suites, you can choose a room with either a king size bed, two queens beds, or two queens and a single, one matrimonial suite, with two queen beds, a small kitchenette, living room, Jacuzzi and a patio that faces the volcano, and a large master suite, each with a private balcony (except the matrimonial) that faces the volcano, private bathrooms with hot water and fans. The junior suites will accommodate four people: the master suite five, the matrimonial four.

Located just above the main lodge are 10 chalets with views of the lake and volcano. Each chalet has its own private balcony with a spectacular view of the volcano, the lake, and the area around, a fire place, two queen-size beds, a mini-refrigerator bar, a microwave oven and a coffee maker.

The main lodge features a large sitting room with a fireplace, a small library, a pool place, a bar, satellite television and a small gift shop/tour desk. Also in the main lodge is a large dinning area with a spectacular view of the volcano. Just outside the main lodge, you will find a 6-person Jacuzzi, from where you can also appreciate the area's main attraction.

 General Fishing Tips

Both Machaca and Rainbow Bass are structure oriented to standing timber and fallen trees, to sand and grass points projecting into the main body of the lake, and to rivers and river channels which feed into the lake. The are sophisticated, wary fish, so all noises and vibrations in the boat should be kept to a minimum. At Arenal Lodge we regard 1-3 lb. fish to be average, 4-5 lb., good fish, 6-12 lb.: El GRANDE!
