Sulfur hot springs. About 45 minutes from the lodge there are sulfur hot springs (42†C) with medicinal properties. Scientist specialist in health tourism from Romania, recommend 5 minutes in the hot water followed by one minute in the cold, 10 to 15 times a day. These baths seem to help arthritis, cardiovascular problems, obesity, muscular problems, etc.

Hot springs with 92†C (198†F), water heated by sulfurous gases from deep within the volcano, a real natural sauna! In Las Pailas one can observe a natural phenomenon involving molecular cohesion. Ask your guide for a demonstration.
